Your Source For Pulp
Mar 24th, 2007 by Xangis
In the past couple days I’ve read a huge amount of stories for All Possible Worlds. In fact, catch-up might not run too much beyond this submission period, which ends 4/15.
Speaking of 4/15, I’m going to have to do taxes pretty soon. It’ll be really ugly since my garage burnt down over the summer and I’ve traded a fair number of stocks in 2006, but since it was a loss I should at least be getting a decent refund.
I’ve been working on a science fiction, fantasy, and horror bookstore, PulpSource, and it’s finally starting to look like an ecommerce website. I still have a lot of polishing and streamlining to do, but it’s getting presentable. I just spent a few hours sending emails to the publishers of various literary speculative fiction magazine trying to make deals - distribution, or sell-through, or subscribe-for-commission stuff. With Clarkesworld Books shutting down and Project Pulp dead there’s definitely space for me to fill.
I’m still sampling synthesizers. Right now the Yamaha AN1x is on the block and being recorded. I can’t wait to get rid of them all, well, except maybe 2 or 3.
And as of today I’ve broken the 10,000 total page views mark on all of my sites combined for the first time. It’s going to be a challenge getting above that next month.
